چکیده
Objective: Investigating the effects of preoperative short term intensive pulmonary rehabilitation program applied for patients who have undergone lung resection by thoracotomy, on functions, complication rates and length hospital stay during postoperative period.
Methods: A prospective randomized trial sixty were enrolled would undergo thoracotomy randomly divided in two groups. Intensive was performed these study group 3 hours a day throughout 7 days period. Groups compared with respect to their spirometric respiratory parameters, blood gas stay.
Results: Total incidence rate complications from control significantly increased(p=0,028). When underwent lobectomy wedge observed, those seen be statistically higher comparison group(p<0,05).
Conclusion: We consider that it will very beneficial perform every patient possible is planned or treatment.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the efficacy of systemic pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) after lung resection in patients with lung cancer. METHODS Forty-one patients undergoing lung resection were enrolled and classified into the experimental (n=31) and control groups (n=10). The experimental group underwent post-operative systemic PR which was conducted 30 min/day on every hospitalization day by an ...

متن کاملPulmonary rehabilitation in patients undergoing resection for non-small cell lung cancer. A preoperative and postoperative added value.
We read with interest the report from Bobbio et al. on preoperative pulmonary rehabilitation (Pre-PR) in COPD/ non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients who are candidates for surgery [1]. We have recently published our own experience based on early stage NSCLC patients where surgery could not be considered due to impaired pulmonary function [2]. The eight patients who accepted to enter the s...

UNLABELLED We performed Ventilation/Perfusion scans for patients planned for thoracotomy with resection of the primary or metastatic lung tumors. We predicted the post-operative FEV1 (Forced Expiratory Volume in first second) using Differential Lung Analysis software. METHODS 34 patients were evaluated with Ventilation/Perfusion (V/Q) scans. Ventilation scan was performed with Tc-99m DTPA Aer...
